Hi Immi !!! Oh yes, for all of you out there, prats is immi to family. Thought i should share the story ....
Immi's maternal grandapa used to adore her & called her 'ammani' right from the time she was born, an endearment for all baby girls in konkani. so 'ammani' she was to all of us. when she learnt speech, & people asked her, her name, she would point her finger to herself & try to say 'ammani', in her cute baby lang & all she managed to say was'immi'!! Immi stuck, & thats how Pratima became Immi !!
You are still our baby, Immi, never mind if you turned 30 ! Happy Birthday ! have a blast....
love you & hugs aplenty....

Prats!!!
Happy birthday! You're officially a 30 something now....
Since I'm more experienced in the 30s let me tell you that it completely sucks and don't believe for one bit that life begins at 30!

But, I'm sure you're having a great day....the planning sure looks pretty good.

Have a blast and all the best for the next 30!

Ms P! Hari and I are super bummed that we can't make it to your big 30 weekend getaway. You know we love that sort of thing and hats off to your hubbie for putting so much effort into planning this. Its such bad timing that Hari got some sort of superbug and you wouldn't want him coming to spoil the festivities. We would love to make it up to you by planning a belated b-day dinner when you're free the next few weeks.

Just when you thought that your bro forgot - here I am with a big big hug to you.

She was (may be still is!) quite a snoot puss and I was the pesky bro. My earliest memories of her are when she climbed our building gate in Bangalore (while playing hide & seek) and then had tremendous fall, right from the top which absolutely smashed her nose. She might still be having that scar. Vivek - I leave this for you to confirm!

There were a lot of advantages though of being her Bro.
1.2.3. You were the most popular girl's bro
4. The prefects in school let me through after the daily assembly, with dirty unpolished shoes
5. I got to write my Geography exam 5 hours after everyone had finished (because I thought this exam was in the afternoon instead of in the morning) ...but hey hey I was Immi's bro
6. There are many many more ...

The first and probably the last time I ever bought her a present for 16th March was Michael Jackson's "Dangerous" album and Titan Acura watch strap in 1991. Damn that left a big hole in my tiny pockets :-) Sis its payback time so where’s my Rolex? :-) :-) wink wink!

Lotsa love and hugs
Rahul
